In 2017, Mayor John Dennis signed on to the National Mayor’s Climate Action Agenda, pledging to honor and uphold the tenets of the Paris Climate Change Agreement. In July of 2017, the West Lafayette City Council unanimously supported Resolution NO. 10-17, affirming West Lafayette’s commitment to a greener, more sustainable future.

 

The Go Greener Commission and City Departments have partnered with Purdue Environmental and Ecological Engineering Senior Design Teams to create and refine a Climate Action Plan for West Lafayette. The objective of this project is to assemble appropriate data and complete a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory for the City of West Lafayette that will support the development and ongoing plan for climate adaptation and mitigation.
