"We love the West Lafayette Food Waste Program!  With the West Lafayette Food Waste Program, we have reduced our trash pick-up (for 2 people) to one lightweight 13-gallon bag per week.  We thought at first it would be a lot of work; but it is so easy, anyone can get in the habit of collecting their food waste.
     

The West Lafayette Food Waste Program accepts any vegetable and fruit matter one would put in a compost pile, plus any meat (no bones), dairy and carbohydrate matter (bread, potato, pasta, flour), as well as processed food. 

 

You can drop off your food waste in the green toters at the WL Street and Sanitation Department, 705 S. River Road, WL.
 

We invite you to join us in keeping your food waste, and the resulting methane gas, out of our landfills."
